Tackling antimicrobial resistance has been a priority for the European Commission for over 20 years, coordinating action to address AMR through a One Health approach.

November 2016: The Commission updated the Road Map providing a detailed overview of the 12 Actions covered by the Action Plan, including operational objectives, concrete activities, and deadlines.
October 2016: The Commission published the evaluation of the Action Plan. The evaluation and public consultation contributions showed that the Action Plan added value as a political commitment symbol, stimulated actions within Member States, and strengthened international cooperation. The Action Plan provided a framework for guiding and coordinating activities on AMR at the international level in monitoring, surveillance, and R&D.
