Under Article 65 of the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU No 528/2012), Member States and the Commission must report on the implementation of the Regulation.
Article 65(3) requires Member States to submit a report every five years on the implementation of the Regulation in their territories.
Member States have so far provided their reports by:
- 30 June 2020 (covering the period from the date of entry into application of the Regulation until 31 December 2019)
- 30 June 2025 (covering the period from 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2024).
In accordance with Article 65(4), the Commission composite (combined) report should be based on the reports by Member States and should be submitted to the Council and the European Parliament within 12 months from the deadline for submission of reports by Member States.
Reports from Member States on the implementation of Regulation (EU) no 528/2012 (2025)
Article 65(3) of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 (Biocidal Products Regulation) require Member States to submit, every five years, a report on the implementation of that Regulation in their territories.
The reports were provided by Member States by 30 June 2025 and cover the period from 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2024.
These reports will contribute to the evaluation of the Biocidal Products Regulation, which is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
