Call for information for a scientific opinion on estimates of the amount of toy materials ingested by children

The Scientific Committee on Health and Environmental Risks (SCHER) has received a request for a scientific opinion on estimates of the amount of toy materials ingested by children.

Scope of the call for information:

Interested parties are invited to submit any relevant information concerning the ingestion of toy materials by children that could assist the scientific committee in preparation of the opinion. In particular data from exposure studies on the uptake of the three toy materials - dry (powder like or pliable), liquid or sticky, and scraped-off by children of different age groups are of interest.

Submission of information:

All information should be submitted in electronic form to SANTE-C2-SCHERatec [dot] europa [dot] eu (SANTE-C2-SCHER[at]ec[dot]europa[dot]eu) specifying “Call for Information - Toy materials ingested by children” in the subject line of the e-mail.

All information is considered public unless otherwise stated by the provider.
