Potential health risks of exposure to noise from personal music players and mobile phones including a music playing function

The European Commission has requested that SCENIHR prepares an opinion on the potential health risks of exposure to noise from personal music players and mobile phones including a music playing function. The preliminary version of the opinion can be found here.

The SCENIHR has approved a preliminary report which addresses whether there are health risks from exposure to noise from personal music players and mobile phones with a music playing function. In addition, the preliminary report identifies priority issues for further research in this topic.

Interested parties are invited to send their comments on the preliminary opinion via the following website
