SCHEER - Call for information for a scientific opinion on the need for non-human primates in biomedical research, production and testing of products and devices
The Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks (SCHEER) has received a request to update the scientific Opinion on the need for non-human primates in biomedical research, production and testing of products and devices.
Scope of the call for information:
This call for information is launched according to the stakeholders dialogue procedures laid down in the Rules of procedure of the Scientific Committees.
Interested parties are invited to submit any relevant information, since 1 January 2009, concerning new technologies used to replace, reduce and refine the use of non-human primates in biomedical research, production and testing of products and devices.
Submission of information:
All information should be submitted in electronic form to SANTE-C2-SCHEERec [dot] europa [dot] eu (SANTE-C2-SCHEER[at]ec[dot]europa[dot]eu) specifying “Call for Information - Non-human primates testing” in the subject line of the e-mail.
All information is considered public and available to be used by the Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks, unless otherwise stated by the provider.

The timeline for submitting information is 3 July 2016, 23:59. However the call for information will remain open after this date and additional studies may be passed to the working group at a later stage, if needed.
