EUnetHTA21 service contract

In 2021, a call for tender was launched for supporting the continuation of EU cooperation on HTA beyond the end of the EUnetHTA Joint Action 3. The scope of this tender was to advance the development of HTA methodology to be used when carrying out joint work (e.g. joint scientific consultations, joint clinical assessments) and provide relevant input to the new legal framework on HTA being developed at that time.

The European Health and Executive Agency (HaDEA) awarded the service contract to the EUnetHTA 21 consortium led by ZIN (The Netherlands) and including the following HTA agencies: AEMPS (Spain), AIFA (Italy), AIHTA (Austria), GBA (Germany), HAS (France), INFARMED (Portugal), IQWIG (Germany), KCE (Belgium), NCPE (Ireland), NIPN (Hungary), NOMA (Norway) and TLV (Sweden).

The contract will run for 24 months, until 16 September 2023. EUnetHTA 21 work will build on the achievements and lessons learned from the EUnetHTA Joint Actions.

After the entry into force of the Regulation (EU) 2021/2282 on HTA, the service contract will focus on supporting the EU cooperation on HTA under the new Regulation.
