Agenda and registration - EUHPP Live Webinar: Mycotoxin risks in Europe and the potential impacts of climate change (10 March 2025, 14.00-15.00 CET)

Climate change is altering fungal behaviour and increasing the prevalence of mycotoxins, toxic compounds produced by fungi that contaminate crops, food, and feed. Exposure to these toxins is linked to severe health effects, including carcinogenicity, endocrine disruption, and neurotoxicity.

Leveraging human biomonitoring (HBM) data from the HBM4EU initiative, the briefing provides evidence on dietary exposure to mycotoxins, revealing concerns for public health.

This briefing explores how rising temperatures are intensifying human exposure to mycotoxins and highlights the One Health approach as a critical framework for mitigating risks.
