EU Action Plan helped spur a 17% increase in organ transplants between 2008 and 2015

A report published today shows a sharp increase in organ donation and transplantation in the EU during the course of the 2009-2015 Action Plan. Between 2008 and 2015, the number of organ donors increased from 12 000 to nearly 15 000 (a 21% increase).
