This EUHPP Live Webinar was co-organised with the Slovenian National Institute of Public Health.
The Thematic Network "Youth Chapter on NCD Prevention" organised a webinar dedicated to advancing meaningful youth engagement in the European context of non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention. It explored how young people can move beyond symbolic participation to become equal partners in policy design, implementation, and evaluation. Through intergenerational dialogue, the webinar brought together advocates, public health experts, and policymakers to highlight practical frameworks and best practices across Europe.
The discussion also addressed structural barriers to engagement, and solutions for improving representation in health spaces, including the way forward when it comes to the Joint Statement and actionable recommendations to foster sustainable, inclusive and impactful youth participation in NCD prevention at EU and national levels.
