Description of this webinar

Climate change is predicted to have a growing impact on public health in the coming years. It affects the social and environmental determinants of health and the effectiveness and sustainability of our healthcare systems, which also have a significant environmental footprint. As challenging as that is, having a major impact on climate change means that healthcare systems can also learn to adopt more sustainable strategies and play a key role in mitigation.

By participating in this event, participants gained knowledge about both sides of the coin - how climate change impacts health and how healthcare systems impact climate change. They also learned how healthcare systems can reduce their environmental footprint and improve their climatic resilience. But participants didn't just leave with knowledge they left inspired to take action by seeing examples of best practices of how healthcare funds are making a contribution.
