Trans-specific healthcare is essential and often, life-saving healthcare for trans people. Yet, there is limited systematically collected information on the availability and accessibility of such healthcare for trans people in the EU. The Trans Health Map 2024 seeks to bridge this data gap and presents a snapshot of how different EU Member States make trans-specific healthcare available.
This second edition of the Map will cover various aspects, such as key medical interventions, waiting times, how further marginalised trans people are affected and sexual and reproductive health. It will serve as a key informational and advocacy resource for trans rights organisations, healthcare providers, and healthcare policymakers alike.
In this webinar, Trans Europe and Central Asia (TGEU) and a panel of expert speakers will highlight key findings from the Trans Health Map 2024 and draw attention to the critical issues concerning the accessibility of trans-specific healthcare in EU Member States.
