The experts are either appointed to one of the 12 panels or included in a central list of available experts, according to their scientific and technical competence. They follow principles of highest scientific competence, impartiality, independence and transparency.
Coordination Committee
A Coordination Committee composed of the Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the panels is intended to facilitate effective exchange of information, experiences and best practices between expert panels, to adopt and review the common rules of procedures, internal guidance and methodologies to be used by the expert panels.
The Coordination Committee members are listed alphabetically.
Before being appointed to an expert panel, the experts are required to submit declarations of interest, confidentiality and commitment. Furthermore, they need to update their declaration of interest whenever their professional circumstances change.
