INTERACT-EUROPE 100 - Implementing inter-specialty cancer training in 100 centres across Europe
In Europe, the journey of cancer patients involves a diverse range of dedicated professionals, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, cancer nurses, and more. At the heart of this effort is a commitment to prioritise the well-being of every patient, aligning with the fundamental principle of the European Code of Cancer Practice.
Recognising that effective cancer care demands seamless teamwork, INTERACT-EUROPE 100 embarks on providing an Inter-specialty Cancer Training (ISCT) across 100 cancer centres in Europe. The project builds upon the success of INTERACT-EUROPE, utilising its developed curriculum as a foundation while introducing two pivotal new modules: paediatric oncology and specific needs for displaced people with cancer, with a special focus on Ukraine.
At its core, INTERACT-EUROPE 100 is driven by a steadfast objective: to elevate cancer care by fostering stronger collaboration among its providers.
Rooted in the INTERACT-EUROPE vision of breaking down medical silos, this initiative equips professionals from various specialties with the skills needed for more effective collaboration. By doing so, the project aims to deliver the best possible outcomes for patients, aligning seamlessly with the principles laid out in the European Code of Cancer Practice.
