Description

This report explores the feasibility of integrated surveillance systems for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Antimicrobial Consumption (AMC) across human health, animal health, and the environment. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing systems, stakeholder interviews, and case studies, the report identifies key barriers and opportunities for integrating surveillance efforts, and possibilities for overcoming challenges and improving data collection, analysis, and reporting.

The report aims to inform the development of effective One Health approaches to addressing AMR, and to support countries in strengthening their surveillance systems to better understand and address the complex relationships between antimicrobial use and resistance across sectors.
