Brussels, 10 April 2014
The Global Health Policy Forum met at the premises of DG EuropAid on 10 April 2014. Two topics were discussed: Health Financing and Child Health. The European Commission hosted the event and was happy to provide a room for fruitful discussions, knowledge sharing and building.
In the first round of discussion, the World Health Organisation Health Financing Department, OXFAM, and the Global Health Advocates presented their views on better health financing, which concluded in an extensive dialogue. The second part of the meeting on the topic of child health was opened by the WHO Brussels Office followed by a talk from Save the Children and World Vision. The topics under discussion ranged from the WHO draft action plan on new-born health to a social accountability approach to child health. Copies of the various presentations are attached, as is a list of participants.
