HERA Info Days: Connecting stakeholders for a safer tomorrow

Get ready to delve into a realm of collaboration and innovation as the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) prepares to host a series of Info Days events tailored specifically for stakeholders across Europe. These events offer a unique opportunity for key actors working in the field of health preparedness to come together, exchange insights and better practices, and pave the way for enhanced collective health security.

Why the Info Days

Against the backdrop of an increasingly complex global health landscape, the importance of proactive measures in health emergency preparedness cannot be overstated. With this in mind, HERA is stepping into the spotlight, shedding light on its pivotal role in safeguarding health security across EU, through a series of engaging and informative events.

Designed to be more than just another conference, the HERA Info Days, spanning over 24 months and traversing multiple European countries, are primed to ignite conversations, foster collaborations, and unlock opportunities in the realm of health emergency preparedness.

The HERA Info Days are organised in a dynamic format, blending informative sessions with interactive networking opportunities. The informative sessions will delve deep into HERA's activities, policy priorities, as well as avenues for collaboration and funding opportunities. From discussions on cutting-edge research to insights into strategic coordination for health emergencies, attendees can expect a wealth of knowledge to fuel their endeavours.

Networking sessions will further provide a platform for stakeholders from diverse backgrounds – including the public sector, industry innovators, civil society organisations (CSOs) and academic institutions – to come together, exchange ideas, and forge collaborations. Through participatory formats such as world cafés, attendees will have the opportunity to engage not only with HERA officials but also with peers, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of collaboration and innovation.

Spotlight on Paris

The first event is taking place on the 18th of April, in Paris. The event will reunite key stakeholders like representatives of the French Ministry of Health, private and public healthcare provider networks, pharmaceutical and medical manufacturing companies, emergency services, NGOs and CSOs. They will delve into HERA's role and find out more about the importance of its activity from Head of HERA Laurent Muschel, will ask those questions that most matter to them, and will explore concrete avenues for cooperation. Moreover, they will also gather information about funding opportunities such as HERA Invest, a financing mechanism implemented under the InvestEU programme, and the first European health investment instrument to support investments in innovative technologies to tackle priority health threats.

Paving the way forward

At the heart of the HERA Info Days lies a commitment to nurturing relationships and amplifying awareness of HERA's mission and activities at national levels. By bringing together diverse stakeholders from across Europe, these events will serve as a catalyst for awareness and collective action in the face of health emergencies.
