The Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) has today launched the HERA Stakeholders Hub, a secure and multifunctional platform designed to enhance collaboration across the European pharmaceutical sector.
A Hub for strategic engagement
Open to businesses, national authorities, non-governmental organisations, and other key stakeholders, the Hub facilitates direct communication between participants, as well as with HERA, on medical countermeasures and pharmaceuticals, including critical medicines. Its mission is to enhance cooperation, address supply chain vulnerabilities, and tackle medicine shortages, with the ultimate goal of contributing to a stable and reliable supply of strategic resources in the EU.
The platform is equipped with a user-friendly interface and integrates seamlessly with EU digital tools, prioritising ease of use while safeguarding data privacy.
Key features of the HERA Stakeholders Hub
- Matchmaking platform: A cutting-edge feature connecting companies with potential partners for supply chain collaboration and research projects. Advanced screening tools ensure data privacy and foster meaningful partnerships.
- Centralised communication Hub: A secure, encrypted contact form streamlining interactions between stakeholders and HERA.
- Exclusive collaboration spaces: Dedicated areas for members of the Critical Medicines Alliance and the Joint Industrial Cooperation Forum to access strategic documents and collaborate effectively.
Introducing the matchmaking platform
The matchmaking platform, hosted on the HERA Stakeholders Hub, is a secure platform designed to foster strategic partnerships and strengthen the pharmaceutical supply chain across the EU. By creating a space for collaboration, it enables stakeholders to connect, share knowledge, and work together towards ensuring a stable and innovative supply of medical countermeasures and critical medicines.
Participants on the platform can showcase their expertise, present innovative solutions, and expand their networks within the health supply chain. The platform also facilitates collaboration with compatible partners, with the aim of helping accelerate the production and distribution of essential medical supplies, contributing overall to Europe's resilience against supply chain challenges.
The matchmaking platform welcomes a diverse range of participants, including manufacturers, producers, and developers of vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics. Clinical research experts, importers, suppliers, distributors, and public authorities managing health crises are also encouraged to join, fostering a robust and inclusive ecosystem of collaboration.
Stakeholders can register on the Hub, publish their business profiles, and begin searching for potential partners. The platform also ensures that organisations can be easily discovered by others, unlocking new opportunities for cooperation and innovation.
By joining the matchmaking platform, stakeholders can actively contribute to strengthening Europe's health resilience and shaping a more connected and efficient pharmaceutical landscape.
Collaboration at the core
The Stakeholders Hub also hosts collaborative platforms of the Critical Medicines Alliance and the Joint Industrial Cooperation Forum, two of HERA’s key initiatives fostering collaboration among stakeholders and addressing supply chain challenges. These initiatives contribute to supporting and enhancing Europe's resilience in the face of health crises, with a strong focus on partnerships and innovation.
Interested stakeholders are invited to register, join and engage with the HERA Stakeholders Hub, to support efforts towards a robust and interconnected pharmaceutical landscape in the EU.
HERA: Building Europe’s health resilienceSince its establishment in 2021, HERA has played a pivotal role in preparing for and responding to cross-border health emergencies. Its initiatives include identifying health threats, assessing medical countermeasures, and contributing to strengthening supply chains to enhance Europe’s health security.
