Conference on COVID-19 lessons learned and looking ahead to ensure a stronger EU Health Security Framework

Join the 22- 23 November conference on-line or in-person at the European Convention Centre in Luxembourg to hear leading experts and the highest ranking officials discuss EU Health Security and to reflect on 'COVID-19 lessons learned and looking ahead to ensure a stronger EU Health Security Framework'.

This is a topic that concerns everyone, and the participation of the highest level speakers attests to its importance. Opening the two-day event will be Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides and Luxembourg's Minister of Health Paulette Lenert.

Participating from the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Food Safety will be the Director-General for Health Sandra Gallina and Acting Deputy Director-General for Health John F. Ryan, and other speakers include the Executive Director of the European Medicines Agency Emer Cooke, the Director of the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Andrea Ammon, WHO's Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge, the Acting Director of the EU Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority Wolfgang Philipp, Chair of the European Parliament's Special Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic (COVI) Kathleen Van Brempt, Head of the Health Division at the OECD Francesca Colombo, and Head of the Luxembourg Representation Anne Calteux.

The Director of Mental Health Europe Claudia Marinetti, the President of the European Federation of Nurses Associations Elisabeth Adams, the President of the European Patients Forum Marco Greco and the Executive Director of the European Cancer Organisation Mike Morrisey are among the many civil society health leaders who will be participating, along with many representatives from the medical professionals, researchers and educators.
