Building Trust in Roma and IDP Communities for NCD Prevention: Developing and Testing an Integrated Social Healthcare Development Methodology for Vulnerable Groups in Central and Eastern Europe

SmartCARE is part of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan. It will design a digital tool to improve communication between cancer survivors and health and social-care providers. The project will define the needs of survivors and support an app developer consortium to create the tool.

The EU-CanIneq project aims to develop a research and data framework to create indicators of socioeconomic inequality in cancer, integrate these indicators into the European Cancer Inequalities Registry, analyse data on total cancer mortality and mortality f and produce country-specific information.

Genomics plays an emerging role in clinical health research. CAN.HEAL is using next generation sequencing technology and identifying implementation paths to extend the application of genetic profiling of patients and examining novel insights for estimating cancer risks in healthy populations.

CHIP-AML22 implements advanced genetic diagnostics and targeted treatments for children with AML within the consortium. Recent risk-adapted treatment based on cytogenetics and MRD measurements has improved survival rates to 70%.

PCM4EU combines the expertise of partners from 15 European countries to promote personalised cancer medicine (PCM) – an emerging approach that offers patients more precise and targeted diagnostics and treatment.

NEWROAD will create an open, collaborative platform to repurpose drugs in oncology. The platform will be accessible via high-performance computers and the cloud, drawing upon data provided by healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical companies.

The i-Violin project will satisfy the need to optimise and harmonise oncological imaging procedures in Europe, build upon tools developed in other EC-funded projects and ensure their broad adoption.
