EU Health Policy Platform

The EU Health Policy Platform is the main forum for communication and cooperation between health interest groups and organisations, and the European Commission. It also improves communication among these organisations.

It aims to:

  • Provide a framework for dialogue between the Commission and health-related interest groups or organisations
  • Facilitate targeted discussions between Commission departments and these groups
  • Make health policy dialogue transparent
  • Build knowledge of public health issues and relevant expertise
  • Spread information about DG Health and Food Safety's projects (e.g. co-funded Health Programme projects)
  • Identify, share and encourage replication of good health policy practices
  • Gather and circulate research outcomes
  • Provide information on other health-related policy areas.

The Platform is open to health-related interest groups. Register now and become a Platform member to promote your work and reach a large target audience that is particularly interested in public health. For more information, please visit the HPP webpage sections on:

  • Study on assessing the EU Health Policy Platform (HPP): This study focused on the Platform’s activities between 2020 and mid-2022 and provides robust evidence about the use and functioning of the HPP. The findings confirm that the Platform continues to be a useful tool, promoting EU health policies and initiatives and addressing the needs of health stakeholders. The Platform is seen as a unique channel for exchanging health information and good practices. Recommendations made by study participants are listed in the final report. The final report as well as the abstracts and executive summaries in English, German and French are available online.
