The European Commission organises calls for official proposals (tenders) when it wants to settle specific contracts. The procurement contracts are used to purchase works, supplies and / or services. Calls for tenders and procurement contracts are required by public bodies either at national or European Union level.
Regarding procurement, there are currently 3 different kinds of calls:
e-Tendering
These are the calls published in the Official Journal. Please refer to the eTendering database for all calls (open and closed) contracted by DG Health and Food Safety.
Buyer profile
This refers to very low value, low value and middle value negotiated calls. The contracting authority directly invites potentially interested economic operators to submit their offers.
